Flynn Fellows Recognized at Prestigious National Event

Several Flynn Fellows were among the national cadre of Jonas Scholars recognized at a prestigious event on Oct. 22 in Washington, DC celebrating the milestone 15th year anniversary of Jonas Nursing and Veteran Healthcare (JNVH). JNVH is the country’s leading sponsor of doctoral degrees for academic and clinical practitioners, having funded over 1400 such scholarships since 2007 which have substantially enhanced the nursing profession.

In 2019 we collaboratively established a partnership with JNVH to jointly sponsor our Flynn Fellows’ pursuit of DNP degrees in Oncology Nursing. Since 2019, 9 Jonas Flynn DNP Scholars have been awarded a total of $270,000 in scholarships to support the pursuit of their DNP degrees, reflecting the extraordinary value of our unique educational partnership with JNVH.

The Jonas Flynn Oncology Nursing DNP Scholars in attendance included Carissa Corraro, Michelle Laspino, Anne Martin, and Emily McClure. Also present were recent Flynn Fellows Alexandra Ford, Elizabeth Pendergrass, Madeline Perrino, Shika Reji, and Edna Yilma.
