The Flynn Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of care for future cancer patients and their families. We facilitate and fund college-level nursing internship programs with several of the country’s leading cancer hospitals. We are looking for passionate nursing students who are looking to create a meaningful and rewarding career path for themsleves while raising the visibility of the Oncology Nursing field.
QUICK FACTS ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP
- The Flynn Foundation offers over 35 Fellowship positions each summer at several leading hospitals
- Eligible applicants must be college “rising seniors”, nursing majors, with a serious interest in the field of oncology care.
- Internship positions typically span 8-10 weeks in the summer, depending on the host Hospital’s specific program plan
- Experienced Preceptors serve as mentors and role models for our Fellows
- The interns (aka “Flynn Fellows”) are paid a competitive stipend.
- Please note: In some cases, “eligible schools” are restricted to the academic partners of the host Hospitals
- Applications typically open in early December and close by the end of January although the specific dates vary by hospital
