Build A High-Caliber “Talent Pipeline” For Your Oncology Nursing Needs
Overview:
- We partner with several of the country’s leading cancer hospitals and establish long-term collaborative relationships with them
- The majority of our participating hospital program partners are Magnet-designated hospitals, which attests to their commitment to nursing excellence
- Our Fellowship program is designed and intended to serve as a “talent pipeline” to help meet the participating hospitals’ needs for more and better-skilled Oncology nurses
- The hospitals are expected to specify a designated Program Manager, involve experienced Preceptors, and provide a stimulating and enriching learning environment; in addition, they are expected to assist with the annual marketing of the fellowship program at various participating undergraduate nursing–in many cases, former Flynn Fellows serve as Preceptors
- Most importantly, the participating Hospitals are responsible for the selection of their Flynn Fellows with the shared goal of attracting and selecting the “best” candidates and helping further develop their interest and skills as future Oncology Nurses
HOW TO BECOME A HOSPITAL PROGRAM PARTNER
If your Hospital is interested in becoming a host hospital in our Oncology Nursing Fellowship Program, please submit the following information. We are looking forward to working with you.
“Before the Flynn Fellowship, I didn’t know a lot about oncology nursing because it wasn’t covered much in my nursing program. As the fellowship began, my reverence and gratitude for the skillful compassion of oncology nurses blossomed, as my father was being treated by similar exemplary nurses in a nearby hospital. Six years later my father is still indebted to his oncology nurses, and I am a proud oncology nurse, forever appreciative of this program for opening my eyes and heart to this tremendous field of nursing.”
